The Tiny House Movement, which began to surface in its modern form in the late 1990s thanks to Jay Schafer, is a global movement to downsize living space. Between the years of 1978 and 2013, the average American single family home grew in size - from 1,780 square feet to 2,662 square feet. But do people really need that much same? Tiny livers would argue that we do not.
